THE CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE

Set in 225 acres of rolling South Hams countryside, our Championship Course opened in 1992. Designed by renowned British golf course architect Jeremy Pern, Dartmouth is reputedly one of his best creations. The course makes clever use of undulating terrain and numerous water features. From the 'tips' the layout stretches to almost 7200 yards, but there are 4 different tee boxes that ensure all levels of golfing ability are catered for. Dartmouth's Championship Golf Course is undoubtedly tough but there's plenty of excitement to be had out there.

In response to your recent email I am writing to say that we had a lovely few days at your resort. We found everyone to be very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the challenges posed by both golf courses which we thought were well maintained. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food and service were both excellent.

THE DARTMOUTH COURSE

At 2252 yards this par 33 9 hole course offers 5 par 3's, 2 par 4's and 2 par 5's. With 3 different tee boxes available this is played as 18 holes and has been designed and built to the same exacting standards as its big sister. Featuring undulating greens and slightly more generous fairways this golf course caters for all abilities and is surely a gem amongst some of its bigger and more challenging siblings.

The 9 holer was just great and got me in tune for the S/Winchester Seniors Open today in super weather - 34 points and no blobs so just shy of playing to my handicap of 18 - I used to be 11 on the European Tour course in Doha, Qatar but that was 22 years ago! My daughter, a beginner, also enjoyed it and hit some great chips near the green and putted very well.
